My wife and I stayed for a night in September 2016 for our wedding anniversary. Ive been there several times, and it is becoming my #1 place to check for books in Denver. The staff has always been friendly, the people milling about seem friendly, and they have great prices to boot. This is also a safe place, free from discrimination. They have a piano in the back to play and you are welcome to grab a book off the shelf and plop down in a chair to read for a bit. ![]() This is a lovely little book Shop with a coffee bar. Their iced coffee is some of the best in town! The owners are incredibly keyed into the community and put up multiple live shows A week in the back of the store. Super chill book/record/coffee/comic book shop in my favorite neighborhood in Denver. The first time I saw this place was on a night out drinking at midnight and they were still open! Next time Ill have to hang out and get a coffee too. The prices were decent and the guy that helped me was friendly. Neat little bookstore with lots of variety, there is something for everyone. Great place for coffee and browsing the book store. If you just enjoy looking through the books for a new find though, this place is fun. In the Summer they host free punk shows on block which is whats really up. ![]() Broadway doesnt have many murals like Colfax does and yet Mutiny holds it down with a sick mural on its side and some chairs to sit on aswell outside. Arcade games, good crowds to chill with, and the black flag waves high. They are sassy and yet have been sitting in there for awhile. Someone needs to buy some of those pieces up in there. Gut busting comedy open mics, cheap, STRONK coffee, really sassy art actually. It can be hard to find stuff and if the employees are to deep in a conversation it can be difficult to get their attention to get some help. The only thing keeping me from leaving a full 5-star review is I sometimes feel a little ignored when I go in there. ![]() This shows how much they care about their customer base. Luckily, they are already answering that by bagging and boarding all comics in the store. However, the comics on the shelves were often a little bent up. I love that they recently added comics to their selection. I have always enjoyed stopping in at Mutiny.
